WHAT YOU NEED TO DRIVE A TUKTUK
Before getting into a TukTuk and diving through Sri Lanka, you need to lay some groundwork.
- Locally & Internationally approved licences ready for your arrival
- Comprehensive Driving Lesson
- Insurance (tuktuk and personal)

INSURANCE
Our insurance covers you, your vehicle and third parties. This is the standard insurance and is included in the rental price.
Even with our insurance, we strongly advise you to have your own travel insurance. It is important to have travel insurance, in case of emergency. Especially in event of an accident or personal injury. TukTuks aren’t common on insurance, so we suggest you have travel insurance that covers both car and motorcycle. This will prevent you from running into trouble if you need a claim.

DRIVING LESSON & LICENCE
Licence
If you can drive a car in your home country, you are qualified to drive a tuktuk. Besides that, you only need a tuktuk driving licence. In Sri Lanka, you need to get a special tuktuk driving licence. There are two ways to do that.
- We can prepare the required licence for you before you arrive. If you have an International Driving Permit (IDP) or your National Country Licence, we can get your licence within two business days.
- You can get the licence by yourself. All you have to do is go to the Automobile Association of Ceylon with DP or National Country Licence and follow the procedure there.

Driving Lesson
Driving a tuktuk is easy. Our qualified tuktuk driving instructors will give you a driving lesson and teach you the basics of tuktuk maintenance. Once you are done, you can hit the road with confidence and ride tuktuk like a pro.

Say you got a repair when you are on the road. We got you covered. This means if anything breaks, we cover the cost. Unless you were involved in an accident/incident. we don’t have hidden charges.
PICK UP & DROP OFF
Pick up tuktuk in the coastal area and drop off in the mountains?
Yup. That is possible. Our pick up and drop off locations all over the island got you covered. Just select pick up and drop off location from our website. If you require a location, not on the website, contact us we will arrange the things for you.
PRICING AND PAYMENT
You have a right to know what you pay for, and we have a responsibility to provide that details. Visit our pricing page and find out what we charge and what do we not charge.
No hidden charges are available!
When you pick up the tuktuk you can make the payment.
We refund your deposit in the same manner. No involvement in local currencies, and we do it before you leave the country.
